Mrs. Draper

Mrs. Eileen Draper graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota in 1970. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science in Education, she was assigned to teach at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin. She received a call to teach at our Savior, Grafton, Wisconsin, in 1972. Mrs. Draper was called to teach here at Shepherd of the Hills, La Mesa, in 1974, as the one teacher of our K-8 one room school. She taught here until 1991, when she moved with her family to Pennsylvania. She worked as a special education aide at Avonworth Elementary School in Pittsburgh while they lived there. Upon her family’s return to the San Diego area, Mrs. Draper was called to teach at our sister school, Reformation Lutheran, from 1996 -1999. She was then called to teach part-time here at Shepherd of the Hills in 1998, and became our full-time lower grade teacher once again in 2001.
