Easter Break

Below are some calendar reminders for Easter break.

Friday, March 29  – Noon dismissal with no lunch.  There is a Good Friday service at 12:30.  Families are welcome to attend.

April 1 – 5 – No School for Easter Break.

Easter Sunday

If you are looking for a place to worship this Easter, all our school families are invited to Shepherd of the Hills. We have one service at 9:00 with an amazing breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt following the service.  We hope to see you there.

 Academic Bowl

We will be taking part in the Academic Bowl with other schools in our association on Saturday, April 13.  There will be a spelling bee for the top two students in each grade level from 1-8, and an Academic Quiz Bowl for students in grades 5-8.  We will have one team of 5-7 students.  I am still waiting to confirm if there will be a piano competition this year.

To help us plan, please take a moment to fill out the Google Survey to let us know who is interested and available to participate.

Future School Events

Below is an update on some of the future school events for this Spring.

Academic Bowl (April 13) – Upper-grade students can participate in a Quiz Bowl.  There will be a Spelling Bee for grades 1-8, and possibly a Piano competition.

Track Meet (May 4) – Students in grades 1-8 can participate in a Track Meet in Carlsbad.

Talent Show – We are planning on having a Talent Show in May.  We will not be having a school-wide play this year.

School Pictures – Yearbook

Each year, students are able to purchase a yearbook that has class photos and highlights from throughout the year.  Sheena Carter is kind enough to put together the yearbook for the school. If you have any pictures from school events that would work for the yearbook, please share them with her through Google Photos – [email protected].

For those that have an 8th-grade student who is graduating, each student receives their own page in the yearbook with pics throughout their life and, if you so desire, a special message from their parents/guardians.  These items can also be sent to Sheena Carter.
