  No School – Teacher’s Conference

There is no school from Wednesday, November 5, to Friday, November 7, for a teacher’s conference.  The teachers will be going to Phoenix for a professional development conference.

Kids Singing – Nov. 17

The next time students will be singing is on Sunday, Nov. 17 at our 9:00 service.

  Soccer Day 

Students in grades 3-8 have been invited to participate in a Soccer Day on Friday, December 5. Students from our other area associate schools come together to play 3-4 soccer games in Temecula.  It is meant to be a fun day of playing soccer and getting to know other students from around the area.

Parents, please take a moment to fill out this Google form to let us know if your child will participate and help us with planning.

C-Hawk for a Day – Grades 6-8

The upper-grade class has been invited to California Lutheran High School on Friday, Nov. 14,  for their C-Hawk for a Day event.  For parents of the upper-grade class, please fill out this Google form to let us know if your child can attend and help us with planning.

Lego League – CONGRATS!

Congrats to our Lego League Team, which qualified to move on to regionals out of 24 teams that competed this past Saturday! They also received the Future Stars Award for a team that is making great progress from the previous year, with big expectations for the future.

There is no practice this week for Lego League.  Once I have more information about regionals, I will send an email out to parents.

  Veteran’s Day

Most years, we take off from school, but since Veterans’ Day is on a Tuesday this year, we decided to try something different.  We will be having a half-day of school with a teacher in-service in the afternoon. This will hopefully give our families with veterans time to spend with each other.
We are also moving our weekly family chapel to Veteran’s Day. Following the chapel, we will take some time to honor those who serve or have served. Families that have family members who serve or have served are invited to attend. We would like to post pictures of our SOTH family and extended family, so if you have any family members or extended family who are currently serving or have served, please send me a picture of them so we can acknowledge them.  You can text or email me the picture along with their name and relative to the SOTH student.
 
There will also be a small continental breakfast for our families for before or after chapel.  
We pray this is a great way for our students and families to honor those that serve our country.

RED Shirt Friday

During the month of November, we will be participating in RED shirt Friday where everyone is encouraged to wear red.  RED stands for “Remember Everyone Deployed”. This is a way to remember those who are serving our country and support families that have a loved one deployed.

Curious? Questioning? Committed?

No matter where you fall on the spectrum between curious or committed, the upcoming membership class is for you. It is the perfect setting to raise questions and dive deeper into the Word. The next class will be held on Saturday, November 15, at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be included. Contact Pastor Boehm with questions or simply register here.
