Thanksgiving Break

There is no school from Wednesday, November 26 – Friday, November 28 for Thanksgiving Break.  If you plan on being gone for Monday or Tuesday, please let your child’s teacher know.

  Call Decision

Mr. and Mrs. Vogel have decided to return the call to CLHS, which means they will be staying at Shepherd of the Hills and continuing to serve, teach, and lead here.  We are very appreciative of all of the kind words and emails that everyone shared.  It truly is a blessing to be part of the SOTH family!

  Soccer Day 

Students in grades 3-8 have been invited to participate in a Soccer Day on Friday, December 5. Students from our other area associate schools come together to play 3-4 soccer games in Temecula.  It is meant to be a fun day of playing soccer and getting to know other students from around the area.

Parents, please take a moment to fill out this Google form to let us know if your child will participate and help us with planning.

School Thanksgiving Meal

We will be having a SOTH Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday, November 26.  The meal is available to our students, their immediate families, and grandparents. We do have to limit the number of people to make sure we have enough food for everyone. The meal will start at 1:00.  
If you plan to attend, please take a moment to fill out the sign-up below to let us know how many people plan to attend.  Also, we appreciate any families who can help provide some of the food, as we are feeding a good number of people.  There is a link below to sign up for any food items.  Following the meal, students are free to leave with their parents and start their Thanksgiving break.  After care is still available for Tuesday afternoon.

Parent’s Night Out

On the flyer above, you will find some information for a Parent’s Night Out.  This is available for parents to spend some time together without their kiddos.  If you plan on taking advantage of this, please RSVP to Kristen Barnes at 818-601-2798.

Children’s Christmas Service

The children’s Christmas service is scheduled for Thursday evening, Dec. 18, at 6:30.  All students are asked to participate in this event.  If you know that your child is unable to make it, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Basketball Season

We are starting to prepare for the upcoming basketball season which will start the first week of December.  We need to gauge the students who are interested in participating.  We are looking to open it to grades 4-8. Please keep in mind that younger students will get to learn the basics and participate as part of the team. They may not see much playing time in games depending on the level of competition.

Please take a moment to fill out the Google survey to let us know if your child plans on participating.  There is more information below about the season.
PRACTICE – We plan to have practices after school on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 – 4:15.  The first practices will start the first week of December.
GAMES – We have two Fridays where multiple schools meet to play a couple of games.  We also have two weekend-long tournaments – one in San Diego (Jan) and one in Temecula (Feb).
SEASON – Practices will start in December. Games and practices will take place throughout January, and the season will end in February.
